Agelink Theatre is part of the steering committee for 2016’s SHAKESPEARE 400 – a special West Australian festival to celebrate the 400th centenary of the death of the Bard. William Shakespeare is widely considered to have done more for literature, language and modern theatre than any other writer in history. Translated into almost every language, his works are proof of the universality of the human spirit.
Over the next few months a number of events will hit the streets of Perth and create excitement in some unusual venues for all ages. The festival includes workshops for schools and the catch cry is “Education by day: celebration by night”.
2016 will be The Year of the Bard worldwide and Agelink Theatre is proud to play its part.
